Union Home Minister addresses the 79th Raising Day ceremony of the Delhi Police
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that strengthening borders to prevent infiltration, addressing the menace of narcotics and ensuring the complete implementation of the three criminal laws are the Centre’s priority areas before 2029.
Addressing the 79th Raising Day ceremony of the Delhi Police, Shah said, “Border management modernisation to make India infiltrator-free, combating the menace of narcotics and complete implementation of the three criminal laws are the three priority areas of the Central Government prior to 2029,” Shah said in his address.
He added that the work on implementation of the three criminal laws across the country would be completed within the next two years.
On the occasion, Shah also inaugurated the first phase of the Delhi Police’s Safe City project. Under the initiative, an Integrated Command Communication Control Centre (C4I) has been set up at a cost of Rs 857 crore.
