Man commits suicide at Tagore Garden metro station

NEW DELHI:A 27-year-old man killed himself by jumping in front of Tagore Garden metro station at 11pm on Saturday.

New Delhi, August 17 

A 27-year-old man killed himself by jumping in front of Tagore Garden metro station at 11pm on Saturday.  The deceased has been identified as Rahul, a resident of Najafgarh. No suicide note was recovered from the body.

The incident delayed the metro service on the busy corridor for some time. The body has been sent to the DDU mortuary for postmortem. Further probe is underway.

 On August 16, a 25-year-old woman had also allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train at Adarsh Nagar metro station.  

An SDM inquiry was ordered into the incident, the senior police official said.
