The woman’s body was discovered at the Adarsh vegetable market in Ballabgarh. A post-mortem examination found she died from internal injuries. Police subsequently registered a murder case at Ballabgarh City Police Station.

The victim was later identified as Feroza, also known as Aarti and Kallo (44), originally from West Bengal. She married Mukesh, a resident of Khurja in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, in 2000. Her family had been living in Faridabad for the past 25 years. Police said she had lived separately from her family for around 13–14 years and rarely visited them.

During the investigation, a crime branch team from DLF arrested the accused near Lakhani Chowk in Mujesar. He was identified as Beeru (36), a resident of Kheri Murar village in Rewari district, who works for a private company in Sector 24, Faridabad.

Police said that about 13 years ago, the victim had lived with Sunny, Beeru’s brother, who died four years ago. Following his death, she was frequently seen around the Ballabgarh bus stand and nearby areas. Around the same time, Beeru’s wife left him, after which he and the victim became acquainted.

“During interrogation, the accused Beeru revealed that he had an illicit relationship with Firoza, who repeatedly demanded money and threatened to complain to the police if her demands were not met,” said Varun Dahiya, ACP Crime.

Police said that on the night of April 21, Beeru met the victim at the Ballabgarh bus stand, where they consumed alcohol. After becoming intoxicated, he allegedly forced himself on her, leading to a confrontation during which she threatened to implicate him in a case. Fearing this, Beeru picked up a brick lying nearby and fatally assaulted her, striking her multiple times on the head, chest and stomach before fleeing the scene.

Police added that Beeru has a prior criminal record, with four cases registered against him. He was released from jail two months ago in connection with a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigations are ongoing.
