New Delhi: A meeting of the managing committee of the Hardayal Municipal Heritage Public Library was convened on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Mayor Shelly Oberoi. The Mayor announced the release of a grant totalling Rs 2 cr for the library's employees salaries. Oberoi revealed that the grant would cover salaries for five months, from November 2021 to March 2022. "We have released Rs 2 crore for the salary of the employees of Hardayal Municipal Heritage Public Library. This funding will ensure that salaries for the specified period are disbursed promptly," she said. TNS

Boy found dead in drain

New Delhi: A nine-year-old boy who had been missing since August 11, was found dead in the Najafgarh drain on the morning of August 12, police officials said on Wednesday. The child (X), a student of Class V at MCD School in Baprola had been reported missing from his home in Nangli Vihar area in Outer Delhi. The father of the deceased, a private taxi driver and his mother, a homemaker reported their son missing at 12 noon on August 11. The body of the missing boy was found at Chhat Ghat near the Najafgarh drain. CCTV footage revealed that the deceased was last seen with another boy, aged 10, near their home. TNS
