Nigerian woman held with heroin worth Rs 1.25 cr

In a crackdown against drugs, the Delhi Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a 42-year-old Nigerian woman with cocaine worth Rs 1.25 crore in Rohini, the police said.

The accused, identified as Peace (42), was arrested from the Sector 3 market, they said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal said they got a tip-off about the movement of a peddler and drugs supplier in the South Rohini area. After getting information, a raid was conducted near the fish market, Sector 3, Rohini. The woman was apprehended from the spot and 109.04 gms of cocaine was recovered from her possession.

Subsequently, a case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act was registered at the South Rohini police station. An investigation was initiated to track down the movement of contraband substances, Jaiswal mentioned.
