Rly police head constable kills self on duty

NEW DELHI:A Railway police head constable deputed at the Anand Vihar railway station committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol while on duty.

New Delhi, August 16

A Railway police head constable deputed at the Anand Vihar railway station committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol while on duty. No suicide note was found. The police are investigating the matter.   

Naresh Pawar was posted at the railway station in 2016. He hails from Bagpat in UP. He leaves behind his wife and two children.      On Friday morning, Pawar’s body was found on a chair at the railway station exit gate, a 9 mm service pistol nearby. 

In a similar incident in Gaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, a policeman committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver. He was identified as Madhup and was posted in Bagpat district. His family is being questioned regarding the incident.
