The Haryana Budget for 2026-27, presented on Monday, includes several infrastructure and development projects specifically for Gurugram. Millennium City, along with Kharkhoda and Pinjore, has been selected to be developed as a "Wedding City" under the concept of "Sagaai se Vidaai," aimed at promoting local employment.

The city would also host the state’s first Departmental Library in Gurugram, scheduled to open on July 1. Following the recent Al Flah white-collar terrorism bust, the state has announced the establishment of a Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) police station in Gurugram.

Being a key industrial hub, Gurugram and Manesar would also have a Common Industrial Secretariat to facilitate investors. Meanwhile, the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in Daulatabad would be upgraded to become Haryana's first dedicated Para Sports Stadium with international-standard facilities.

A major upgrade of Gurugram’s road infrastructure has been announced, with 10.5 km of major routes to be developed as "Model Roads" for Rs 77 crore. An 8-lane, 5.1 km elevated corridor from NH-48 to Vatika Chowk, including a clover-leaf junction at Vatika Chowk, would be constructed for approximately RS 1,065 crore. A further 8.84 km, 8-lane elevated stretch from Vatika Chowk to Ghaata village has been announced at an estimated Rs 1,846 crore.

Additionally, Rs 302 crore has been allocated for five new flyovers at key junctions to ease traffic congestion. These include Ambedkar Chowk, Dadi Sati Chowk, Millennium City Centre, Bakhtawar Chowk, and Garhi Railway Crossing near Basai. A 6-lane road would be constructed from Harsaru Bypass (Gurugram-Pataudi Road) through Wazirpur to Jhajjar, along with the Farrukhnagar Bypass.

Healthcare infrastructure will also see improvements, with new ESI dispensaries announced in Harsaru, Kadipur, and Wazirabad. The Manesar ESIC Hospital will be upgraded to 200 beds and a new medical college will be established.

Large-scale land procurement of 17,358 acres via the e-Bhoomi portal has been announced to develop new residential and commercial sectors. The budget also continues to focus on the Gurugram-Faridabad Metro link and the Namo Bharat RRTS-cum-Metro alignment, which will connect Gurugram with Noida and Faridabad.
