In her welcome address, Priyal Bhardwaj stated, “This journey has never been about charity—it has been about solidarity. From one Saheli to thousands, we’ve proven that when women are trusted to lead, entire communities thrive.”

She emphasised the need for sustained support for women-led initiatives: “Good intentions are not enough. They need good infrastructure. And infrastructure doesn’t just mean buildings or broadband. It means trust, process, and people who stay.”

The event was attended by Baijayant Panda, national vice president, BJP, New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj, former AIIMC gynaecology head Neerja Bhatla among others.

On the occasion, Panda said, “The women associated with Sangini Saheli — be it in rural collectives, SHGs, or urban grassroots movements — are not just participants, but pivotal agents of India’s transformation.”

He praised the initiative for embodying the vision of Viksit Bharat promoted by PM Narendra Modi, adding, “Their efforts stand as a testament to what inclusive development truly looks like when it begins at the grassroots.”

Panda also expressed his personal connection to the initiative, stating, “It’s a privilege to be part of Sangini Saheli’s journey. I will continue to support people-centric initiatives that strengthen the nation’s social fabric.”
