Delhi Police have booked Chandrashekar for allegedly duping the wives of former promoters of Ranbaxy, Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh of Rs 200 crore. He is also facing several other probes.

Chandrasekhar and Paulose—facing proceedings in a money laundering case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate—were arrested by Delhi Police in the extortion case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Delhi Police accused Paulose, Chandrashekar and other accused persons of using hawala routes and creating shell companies to park the proceeds of crime.
