New Delhi, June 9

The Centre has asked the states to tap their own available resources to raise their share of contributory funds for implementation of Phase 2 of the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen for 2021-22.

The Jal Shakti Ministry, which implements the mission, has suggested the states to raise the funds through various schemes.

According to the arrangement under the Annual Implementation Plans of the state for 2021-22, the Central share will be around Rs 14,000 crore and states will cumulatively spend over Rs 8,300 crore. — TNS
