NEW DELHI:A 17-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his father to death at New Ashok Nagar here after the latter refused money to the former, police said.

A 17-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his father to death at New Ashok Nagar here after the latter refused money to the former, police said.

A heated argument happened between the father and the son on Sunday night after which the teen asked for Rs 150-200.

When the father refused the money, the son stabbed him on his chest. The victim's wife rushed him to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where he was declared brought dead, Pankaj Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) said.

The police was informed about the incident by authorities of the hospital around 11.15 pm.

The son has been apprehended, the police said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination, after which the body will be handed over to the family.

The victim used to work at a factory in Noida. Further investigation in the matter is underway, the police said.
