The prayer meeting was attended by several senior leaders, including Jagat Prakash Nadda and BJP national president Nitin Nabin, along with party workers and representatives from social, civic and business organisations. Gurbani Shabads were recited by Ragi Bhai Bhupendra Singh Anand of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Committee, followed by an Ardaas for the peace of the departed soul.

Addressing the gathering, Nitin Nabin paid tribute to the late Shyam Lal Sachdeva, describing him as a dedicated social worker whose values were reflected in his family. “Even in his final moments, keeping the entire family united reflects his personality and the values he instilled,” he said, while praying for strength for the bereaved family.

Union Minister J.P. Nadda also remembered the deceased as a person who led a meaningful social life and upheld strong family values. “He fulfilled his responsibilities with dignity and set an example for others,” Nadda said.

A large number of leaders cutting across political and social spheres attended the Samagam, including Union ministers, MPs, MLAs and senior BJP functionaries. Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav also visited earlier in the day to offer condolences.
