Three-month-old dies as Scorpio overturns
A three-month-old child died in a road accident while the child’s mother, who was driving a Scorpio and aunt were injured. The accident took place on Friday late evening near Lohchabka village under the Pataudi police station area.
According to the police, the accident took place while trying to avoid an animal that suddenly appeared on the road, the vehicle lost control, struck a roadside tree, and overturned. The police handed over the child’s body to his family after a postmortem.
According to the Pataudi police, Pooja, who lives in Tilak Nagar, Rohtak, was traveling to her parents’ home in a Scorpio car on Friday late evening with her sister Ritu and her three-month-old son, Yugraj. Pooja’s home is in Maheshwari village in Rewari. Pooja was driving the car herself, and Ritu was sitting in the front seat with the child.
It is reported that near Lohchabka village in the Pataudi area, an animal suddenly appeared in front of their vehicle. When Pooja swerved to avoid the animal, the vehicle went out of control, hit a tree and overturned. The child was seriously injured in the accident, while Pooja and Ritu suffered minor injuries.
“It was an unfortunate incident. We handed over the body of the child to kin after the postmortem and a probe is underway,” said a senior police officer.
