To minimise inconvenience to commuters, the traffic police have advised the use of alternate routes, including Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road via Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, and Minto Road, along with other connecting roads.

Meanwhile, an official function scheduled to be held at Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Sthal at Rajghat on Tuesday is expected to be attended by several dignitaries, prompting additional traffic arrangements in the area.

Traffic may be diverted, as required, from ITO Chowk, Delhi Gate, Guru Nanak Chowk, Shantivan Chowk, Rajghat DTC Depot and the IP Flyover. Restrictions, regulation or diversions may be imposed between 9.15 am and 12.30 pm on key stretches, including ITO Chowk to Delhi Gate on BSZ Marg, Shantivan Chowk to IP Flyover, Asaf Ali Road from Delhi Gate to N.S. Marg, Shantivan Chowk to Nishad Raj Marg, Guru Nanak Chowk to Ranjeet Singh Flyover, and Rajghat DTC Depot to the Ring Road Bypass, besides surrounding roads.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to use public transport to reduce congestion, park vehicles only at designated parking areas, and avoid roadside parking, which can disrupt traffic flow.

Citizens have also been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious person or unidentified object by dialling the emergency helpline number 112.
