He instructed the family to bring Rs 1 lakh to the Hyatt Hotel in Kherki Daula for their release. Shortly afterwards, another call came from Rahul’s phone, during which he said that “Ryan and Danish are very dangerous” and demanded Rs 5 lakh, warning the family not to inform the police.
An FIR was registered at the Kherki Daula police station. Officers from the Manesar crime unit arrested two suspects on Sunday near the Dwarka Expressway. The accused were identified as Danish, 22, of Bakalpur village in Ayodhya district, Uttar Pradesh and Riyan, 22, of Okhla Nagar, Delhi.
“The arrested accused revealed that the mastermind behind the kidnap and ransom was Mayank, a resident of Greater Noida, who had lent Rs 2 lakh to Rahul,” a Gurugram police spokesperson said. “To get his money back, he hatched the plan and they kidnapped both youths. As per Mayank’s plan, they abducted Rahul and Krishna from Greater Noida, brought them to Gurugram and demanded Rs 5 lakh from their family. We are questioning the accused and conducting raids to arrest Mayank. He will be arrested soon.”
