Two held for stabbing man to death

New Delhi, July 21

An e-rickshaw driver, Jagdish (35) — resident of Madanpur Khadar — was stabbed to death at Jaitpur on July 19 by two men over a quarrel, the police said.

On July 20, Jaitpur Police Station received a PCR call  regarding a person lying dead near Jalebi Chowk, Madanpur Khadar. Jagdish, who was unmarried and used to live with his mother and two brothers –— was rushed to Apollo Hospital by the PCR van, where he was declared brought dead.

Based on CCTV footage and other information, Aamir (24) and Zakir (19) — both Dakshinpuri residents — were arrested from Tigri.

The alleged accused have gone to meet Aamir's married sister, who lives at JJ Colony, Madanpur Khadar. On their way, they had a minor quarrel with local boys in the lane and they stabbed  Jagdish and fled away. On Aamir’s instance, the weapon knife was recovered DCP (southeast) said. — TNS
