The Faridabad police have arrested two members of a honey trap gang and recovered a bike and Rs 5,000 cash from one of the accused.

The accused have been identified as Salim and Gaurav, both residents of Fatehpur Taga village.

According to the police, in this case, a woman honey-trapped the victim by calling him over the phone and then tried to have physical relations with her. Following this, he blackmailed the victim and demanded Rs 10 lakhs from him. The woman, along with 11 members, of the gang had already been arrested.

According to the police, on September 11, Arif of Kharak Jalalpur village in Nuh had complained that in February, he received a call from a woman, who told him that her name was Sania. Following this, they started talking and on February 23, Sania called him saying her husband had beaten her.

“After this, he and his friend Kale went to save Sania. At around 9:00 pm, he took the car to Ballabhgarh near Tewatia Farm, where he found Sania and took her to Nekpur village. As soon as they reached Nekpur village, Sania wooed Arif and started pressuring him to have physical relations with her. As per the plan, Sania's husband Salim and other companions reached the spot within this time and started threatening Arif that he was trying to abuse Sania and started blackmailing him,” the complainant added.

A senior police officer said the main accused, Sania, and her associates had committed such crimes in the past as well and that they had filed rape cases at the Mujesar police station, NIT, Kashim court of Rajasthan and Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh. They took money to appear in the hearing of the case, which was being investigated by the police, he said.
