In a shocking incident, a four-and-a-half-year-old girl was beaten to death by her father in Jharsentali village of Faridabad after she was unable to write numbers up to 50.

According to the police, the accused, a native of Kheratiya village in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, lived as a tenant with his family in Jharsentali.
During the investigation, police found that Krishna and his wife were employed at a private company in Faridabad. While his wife worked during the day, Krishna worked night shifts. He stayed home during the day to care for their children and homeschool his daughter.
Police said the incident occurred on January 21, when the accused asked his daughter to write numbers up to 50. When she was unable to do so, he got angry and beat his daughter to death. Later in the evening, when his wife reached home, she found her daughter dead and informed the police.
A police team reached the spot and took the body of the girl into custody. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at Sector-58 police station.
“We have arrested the accused, who confessed to the murder of his daughter. We handed over the body to kin after the postmortem and are questioning the accused after taking him on police remand,” said Yashpal, the spokesperson of Faridabad police.
