A “Vintage Drive for Voter Awareness” was launched on Sunday to promote voter participation in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

The drive was flagged off from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium near India Gate at 2 pm by Hirdesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy Election Commissioner of India, and R. Alice Vaz, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi.

It saw participation from several prominent figures such as Sunny Kumar Singh, IAS, District Election Officer; Devesh Kumar Mahla, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi; as well as celebrated athletes such as Parveen Kumar, gold medallist at the Paris Paralympics, and Rohit Tokas, Commonwealth bronze medallist.

The event featured a procession of vintage cars, which symbolised India’s democratic heritage and emphasised the importance of every citizen’s vote. The drive was designed to attract attention and inspire citizens to engage in the upcoming elections.
