Woman alleges rape by singer

New Delhi, July 19

A woman has accused a Delhi-based Punjabi singer, Amandeep Singh Lamba, of raping her, said the DCP.

The complainant  said she was raped in March. A case was registered in July, he said, adding that the complainant's statement has been recorded and her medical examination has been completed.

The accused had been granted exemption by a court from joining the investigation till July 18. He will be joining the investigation at the Mehrauli Police Station.

The woman works for an event management company. — TNS
