Yadav slams AAP over ‘failure’ to resolve civic issues in Badli
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president and former Badli MLA, Devender Yadav, attacked the AAP-led Delhi government and the sitting MLA of Badli for failing to address the issues plaguing the constituency over the past five years.
Yadav, while campaigning in Badli on Sunday, addressed a series of public meetings in MCD Colony (Badli), Liwaspur, Chatri Chowk (Sirspur), 40-Foota Road, Rana Park, Gali No. 4, K Block, and Yadav Market Road in Swaroop Nagar.
“Under Kejriwal's leadership, Delhi has been subjected to corrupt and inept governance for the past 11 years,” said Yadav. “People are suffering due to rising prices, unemployment, and a lack of proper infrastructure. In Badli, the situation is particularly grim as the sitting MLA has been absent for five years, neglecting the needs of the people who elected him.”
Recalling his tenure as MLA, Yadav highlighted the numerous development works carried out during his time. “When I was MLA, Badli witnessed significant progress. However, in the past five years, this constituency has seen no development. Instead, residents have been left to deal with water shortages, broken and waterlogged roads, overflowing garbage, and worsening air and water pollution,” he said.
He criticised the sitting MLA for his inaction and accused him of ignoring the constituency's pressing issues. “The people are now asking the MLA where he was for the past five years when he comes seeking their votes,” he added.
He added that Congress is committed to bringing relief to the residents of Delhi with their robust set of guarantees.
“Our guarantees, such as the Rs 2500 monthly Pyari Didi Yojna, a Rs 25 lakh life-long health insurance scheme for all, Rs 8500 monthly scholarships for unemployed, educated youth for skill development, subsidized cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500, free ration kits, and 300 units of free power, are designed to address the real issues of Delhiites,” Yadav added.
He further assured the residents of Badli of his dedication to their development. “I am committed to ensuring the revival of Badli’s progress and addressing the challenges faced by its residents,” he affirmed.
