‘Modi Not welcome’ posters in US: BJP slams Rahul Gandhi

A fresh row erupted on Saturday over Rahul Gandhi's remarks about Sikhs, with the ruling BJP blaming the Congress leader's statements for an anti-Narendra Modi poster that has appeared in the US timed with the Prime Minister's visit there.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared the protest poster on X. It read "Protest: Modi you are not welcome in New York" and bore the details of a protest march planned in New York on Sunday by an organization which called itself "Coalition for Reclaiming Democracy in India."

Senior BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi slammed Gandhi for the poster and said, "The poster is utterly condemnable. Indians are wondering if this is the culmination of Rahul Gandhi hobnobbing with established anti-India forces. He has just returned from the US after playing politics with his sponsored pawns. Or is this a lobby which was arranging meetings of pawns of anti-India forces with Rahul Gandhi recently. This advertisement is the advertisement of an anti-India hate shop (nafrat ki dukaan)."

Malviya said every time Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he indulges in the most divisive anti-India politics, including hobnobbing with agencies and collaborating with forces inimical to India’s interest.

"He has gone to the extent of pleading western powers to interfere in Indian politics. The Congress will never succeed is a different matter. But now, Sam Pitroda and his cohorts are planning a protest against the Prime Minister, when he visits New York. Rahul Gandhi should remember he is seeking political relevance in India and people of Bharat will give him a befitting reply, when the time comes," said Malviya.
