Phagwara resident killed in dispute at Belgian gurdwara

A 52-year-old man from Phagwara, Bakhtawar Singh Bajwa, lost his life in a tragic incident at a gurdwara in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday night. The dispute, which was related to the gurdwara’s management, escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in Bakhtawar Singh’s severe injuries.

A resident of Hadiabad, Phagwara, Bakhtawar Singh had been living in Belgium for several years, where he operated a night shop with his family. He was also a supporter of the gurdwara’s management committee.

According to sources, discussions were underway to resolve issues related to the gurdwara when the situation turned violent. Bakhtawar Singh was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
