Chandigarh, August 31

In revised guidelines due to Covid-19, the Punjab Government has asked international arrivals to give advance information about their travel and undergo procedure for quarantine.

Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said all travellers should submit a self-declaration form on the online portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel.

They should also give an undertaking on the portal that they would undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days, including seven days institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by seven days of home isolation.

The minister, however, clarified travellers could apply directly online for home quarantine which might be allowed only for compelling reasons or cases such as pregnancy, death in family, serious illness, etc. — TNS
