AMID the Congress-led Opposition’s tirade against Home Minister Amit Shah over the use of force on protesters, RTI replies from two Delhi hospitals have revealed that a total of at least 10 people were treated for pellet injuries after the July 20 protest. The figure is especially significant because it comes from official records, not unsubstantiated claims. Individual accounts are disturbing: some protesters reportedly suffered injuries to the face, chest and eyes, while a student faces the prospect of permanent damage to his vision.
