Calling himself a proud Haryanvi, Badshah said his language, upbringing and cultural roots are deeply connected to the state. He clarified that the intent was never to offend women or children, adding that hip-hop lyrics are often directed at competitors within the genre rather than individuals or communities. The rapper also emphasised that he has consistently tried to celebrate and elevate Haryanvi culture through his work. Released on March 1, 2026, the song has sparked backlash, with an FIR filed against the artiste and summons issued by the Haryana State Commission for Women.
