Amid the ongoing debates and protests over farm ordinances, Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh on Thursday also tweeted against the Bills and about the protests by the farmers.

He tweeted in Punjabi: “Kisan bachao desh bachao,” and added that he opposed the new ordinances.

In another tweet, Dosanjh replied to a Twitter user who was asking him to explain how the ordinances were against the farmers.

In his reply, Dosanjh said that the new ordinances didn’t allow farmers to decide the rate for their produce; there was no minimum support price decided and farmers didn’t have the storage to store the produce, so it didn’t matter how much limit they had.

“We expect farmers to feed the nation but they can’t decide the rate. Shabaash,” Diljit added.
