Helly Shah fights her fear

Colors’ upcoming show Ek Baar Phir Ishq Mein Marjaawan promises to be filled with thrill and romance. The show will chronicle the story of Riddhima (played by Helly Shah), who falls in love with Kabir (played by Vishal Vashisht).

Recently, the cast and crew shot a promo sequence in Goa. Helly Shah, who has aquaphobia was asked to get into the sea till the water reaches her waist, a braveheart, she had to keep her fears aside and get into the depth of the character. While she was dressed in a heavy lehenga which weighed more than 10 kg, her fight was to take on the phobia and get into the cold water.

According to sources, it took Helly sometime to gather courage but she did it very bravely and gave some of the best shots.

Helly shared, “I’ve always tried to get over aquaphobia but never really got the push to do so. Finally, my reel character required me to get into the sea and after much deliberation, I had to keep my fears aside and gather courage to do it as my profession demanded it. What made this even more difficult for me was my outfit. It was cold and I had to be in water for a long time wearing the heavy ghaghra. After a point, the ghaghra was soaked in water and was 10 times of its original weight, but work comes first. It just takes one opportunity for you to condition your mind and overcome your fear just like I did.”
