Sony LIV’s upcoming thriller ‘KanKhajura’ is a haunting tale set in the still, shadowy corners of Goa — where silence deceives and what lurks beneath the surface proves far more dangerous than what’s visible.

A Hindi adaptation of the Israeli series ‘Magpie’, ‘KanKhajura’ reinvents the original with an Indian sensibility and raw emotional resonance. At its core lies the story of two estranged brothers, forced to confront a long-buried past where the line between memory and reality begins to blur. Roshan Mathew, who plays Ashu, reflects on what drew him to the project. He said, “What drew me to ‘KanKhajura’ was its emotional intensity and the stillness beneath the chaos. Ashu is a layered character — fragile in moments, but carrying a quiet storm within. Every relationship in the show is cracked in some way and it’s how these characters respond to those flaws that made it so exciting to explore.”
