Not at all. In fact, in today’s scenario look at the spectrum of television, it’s huge. At times, television has more importance than films. Debuting on television with a production house like Director’s Kut is an honour. Working with a producer like Rajan Shahi is the best thing on television.

How have you adapted to the new normalcy on the sets?

It’s much better than what I’d thought. The cast and crew are maintaining social distancing and we are sanitizing our stuff from time to time. We are extremely cautious and taking all precautions.

You have recently completed two years of marital bliss with actor Mimoh. How do you sum up your life with him?

Two years went by quite fast. Mimoh is a great life partner. He is supportive, caring, and a very warm person. Our married life has been great.

You belong to an actor’s family and now married to an illustrious family. How has life changed?

It has not changed at all. My mother Sheela Sharma is an actress and father Subhash Sharma is a producer-director. But I had a normal life while growing up and always kept myself grounded. Though my in-laws (Mithun Chakraborty and Yogita Bali) are great actors, they all are grounded. So, I have not felt any difference.

How much of Bengali culture have you adopted?

I don’t speak the language because no one talks in Bengali at home. But the food part is very attractive. My father-in-law is a great cook. Whenever he cooks I am always in the kitchen because I know whatever he cooks will taste amazing.

Do you consult your family about your professional work?

I started working at the age of 16 and since then my mother has been my guide. She has always advised me. Now that I am married, I do consult my husband as well.
