‘No time for social media, says Mohd Danish, who has made it to the top six in the latest season of Indian Idol

How has been your journey on Indian Idol?

My life has changed after I came to Indian Idol. It was a dream come true for me and my parents. The amount of love I have received from the audience is unbelievable and it means a lot to me. I feel blessed.

How do you react to trolls on social media?

We are spending so much time in practice and performing that there is no time left for other things. I do not have any time left for social media.

How did your family support you in your musical journey?

My family has always been of great support. My dadaji used to sing, so I have inherited music from the family. My family is my biggest support.

Who is your mentor in music?

My mentors are my grandfather, father and chachaji. And my inspiration in music is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

What’s your expectation from the finale?

I want to perform to my greatest ability. I never believed that I will come so far in the show and now when I am here it’s time to prove my mettle.

What’s your dream now?

My dream is to sing for all the actors in the film industry.

There is an actor hidden in you. Will you take up acting in the future?

Acting is something which comes to me naturally. If I get a chance to portray my skill, I will definitely take up acting.

After a successful reality show, the path is always bumpy in the playback scene. How do you plan to face that?

The only way to success is hard work and only hard work. I am a firm believer of God, so I know my prayers will be answered.

What’s your dream now for your parents?

To make them happy and proud of me.
