For Yami Gautam and Surilie Gautam, Raksha Bandhan is a deeply cherished occasion that celebrates their unique family bond with their brother, Ojas. Despite the huge age gap—Ojas being 13 years younger than Yami and 12 years younger than Surilie—the siblings share a very close, special connection.

Surilie reminisces, “We were teenagers when Ojas was born, so we’ve always had motherly instinct towards him. He’s grown up to be independent and successful, which makes this Raksha Bandhan particularly special.”

Both sisters, who are actors, express immense pride in their brother’s achievements. Ojas is pursuing film direction under Aditya Dhar (Yami’s husband). Being assistant director in Dhar’s next, Ojas is in Thailand shooting for a project this Rakhi. The sisters are together with their tiny tots – Saibhang and Vedavid, and their parents. So, this Rakhi is special with little ones in tow. Despite their hectic schedules and physical distance, Ojas ensures Raksha Bandhan remains meaningful by sending thoughtful gifts and even transferring shagun via Google Pay.
