Ranveer Singh to play lead in Hindi adaptation of ‘Anniyan’

Director Shankar is all set for the official adaptation of his cult blockbuster Anniyan, which will be mounted on a gigantic cinematic canvas, promising one of the most anticipated pan-Indian cinematic events of our time. Playing the lead in this film will be actor Ranveer Singh. Bringing Shankar and Ranveer together for the very first time is veteran film producer Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. Says the director, “For it to be made into a Hindi film, Anniyan needed a charismatic showman like Ranveer Singh. He is a one-in-a-generation actor who has shown us that he can immortalise a character through his stellar performance.”
