You’ve transitioned from being a doctor to an actress. Can you tell us about that journey?

I come from a family of doctors—my parents and my brother are doctors, and I completed my Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. If I hadn’t pursued acting, I’d probably be practicing medicine in Delhi, seeing patients daily. But my love for travel, meeting new people, and exploring new experiences drew me to Mumbai. Acting allows me to live a life far beyond the confines of a clinic. I get to play diverse characters, work with different people, and constantly evolve. This journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m so happy with the path I’ve chosen.

What are some of your most notable projects so far?

I’ve been fortunate to work in some amazing projects. I’ve appeared in TV shows like Jhanak, Kathaa Ankahee and Kundali Bhagya. I also had a pivotal role in the short film The Coldest Revenge, written by Vikram Bhatt, which is available on MX Player. Additionally, I starred in the Gujarati film Aastha in 2019 and the web series Phone-a-Friend on Zee5.

You’ve also ventured beyond acting. Can you tell us about your hosting experience?

Yes, hosting has been an exciting part of my career. I’ve been a narrator and host for live Bollywood musical shows, including Ek Haseen Shaam in 2019 and Krazy for Kishore in 2024, which were performed across the USA.

What values guide you in your personal and professional life?

For me, it’s all about staying true to who I am, being humble and remaining grounded. Life, especially during the Covid pandemic, reminded us that we are all equal in the face of challenges. I’ve learned to value authenticity and humility—they define a person more than anything else.

Your mother’s story is truly inspiring. Can you share more about her influence on you?

My mother was a dedicated doctor who continued working during the Covid pandemic, even at a great personal risk. Sadly, we lost her during the second wave. She believed that work is worship and that your actions should speak for themselves. She passed away while doing what she loved—helping others. Her selfless dedication has been a guiding light for me. She’s a true Corona Warrior, and her example inspires me to approach my work with commitment and integrity.

What’s next for you?

I’m currently working as the lead actress in a live theatre play called Pyar Mein Twist. Theatre is an entirely different experience, and I’m enjoying the opportunity to connect with audiences in real time. I’m also open to exploring more diverse roles in film and web series.
