December 14: Tiny Pretty Things on Netflix

Tiny Pretty Things is based on the novel of the same name by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton. It has been created by Michael MacLennan. It follows the world of an elite ballet academy, and charts the rise and fall of young adults who live far from their homes, each standing on the verge of greatness or ruin. The show stars Shaun Benson and Brennan Clost, among others.

December 16: Outside In on Netflix

Vir Das’Outside In—The Lockdown Special is a unique comedy show that was shot during the lockdown and talks about the disruption that was caused due to the pandemic. The show is one of Das’ comedy specials, as he tries to deconstruct the effects that the pandemic has had while trying to spread laughter and joy from the comforts of his home.

December 18: Unpaused on Amazon Prime Video

Unpaused is an anthology of five Hindi short films, filmed during the pandemic and featuring stories about new beginnings. These five shorts stories include Glitch, starring Gulshan Deviah and Saiyami Kher, Apartment, starring Richa Chadha and Sumeet Vyas, Rat-A-Tat, featuring Rinku Rajguru and Lillete Dubey, Vishaanu, starring Abhishek Banerjee and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, and Chaand Mubarak, starring Ratna Pathak Shah and Shardul Bharadwaj.

December 18: The Stand on Voot Select

The Stand is a mini-series based on Stephen King’s 1978 best-selling novel of the same name. It stars Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgard and James Marsden in the lead roles. The plot will unravel an apocalyptic world, after a pandemic of a weaponised strain of influenza.
