A shocking road rage incident took place in Ballabgarh, Faridabad, on Friday when a young man riding a bike with a woman fired from a pistol at a local resident, narrowly missing his face.
The victim, Vivek, had asked the bike rider to drive properly, sparking an argument between the two.
According to Vivek, the bike rider was driving erratically. “When I pointed it out, the man pulled out a pistol and pointed it at me.” "I tried to snatch the pistol from him and during this, the bullet was fired, grazing my face. I managed to snatch the pistol away before the second shot could be fired."
After firing a bullet, that grazed Vivek's face, the assailants fled, abandoning the bike and pistol at the scene. Vivek, a Ballabgarh resident, was unhurt and managed to inform the police, who arrived promptly and seized the pistol, bag and bike.
An FIR was registered at Adarsh Nagar police station, and a CCTV footage that has surfaced will help them identify the culprits.
"We are searching for the accused. They will be arrested soon," said Inspector Manoj Kumar, SHO of Adarsh Nagar police station.
