Speeding Mercedes, BMW hit bike in Faridabad; 2 injured
Both car drivers flee the scene after the accident
Two youths riding a motorcycle sustained minor injuries after a speeding Mercedes and a BMW collided and hit their bike late Tuesday night on the Delhi-Agra National Highway in Faridabad.
Both car drivers fled the scene after the accident. Police reached the spot on being informed and removed the damaged vehicles from the highway with the help of a crane.
An eyewitness said the two cars were moving at high speed near Escorts Mujesar Metro Station when the collision occurred.
“A black Mercedes was ahead, while a white BMW was following it. The Mercedes hit a motorcycle from behind, causing it to fall off the road,” the eyewitness said.
The BMW suffered extensive front-end damage in the crash.
Rakesh, one of the motorcycle riders, said they were on their way home when the accident occurred. Both riders sustained minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the drivers of the two cars appeared to be drunk. Police seized both vehicles and said an investigation was under way.
