Srinagar, December 14

The detention of National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah has been extended by three months under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).

The five-time CM was placed under detention on August 5 and booked under the PSA on September 14. He is lodged at his Gupkar residence, declared a sub-jail. Sources said Farooq would remain in detention till March 14, as ordered by the UT Home Department.
