13 arrested for trespassing, vandalising farmhouse, assaulting employees in Gurugram village

Gurugram police arrested 13 persons for forcibly trespassing into a farmhouse, illegally occupying the property, vandalising it, assaulting employees and committing theft. Three old air conditioners, one refrigerator, one washing machine, one lawn mower, scissors, other stolen articles, a car, a tractor-trolley and a generator used in the crime were recovered.

According to the police, more than 50 people arrived at a farmhouse located in Mahenderwara village in trucks, tractors and a car on Wednesday at 9:30 pm.

The accused allegedly forced entry into the farmhouse, assaulted the caretaker and his family, threatened to kill them, attempted to outrage the modesty of women present, damaged the farmhouse name board, the caretaker's living quarters, and CCTV cameras and stole household articles and other valuables. Thereafter, the accused allegedly took illegal possession of the farmhouse.

Following the complaint by the farmhouse owner, an FIR was registered at Bhondsi police station and police arrested 13 accused from the farmhouse on Thursday, where they had allegedly taken illegal possession.

The accused were identified as Rakesh of Andhwa Patti, Vrinda Palace in Hodal, Palwal; Harsh Kumar of Lulwari village, Palwal; Prashant of Bhawana village, Palwal; Jitendra of Gopal Bagh village in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh; Pradeep Kumar of Damdama village, Gurugram; Rishikesh alias Rishi of Malda Sarai village, Mahendragarh; Sunil of Rithoj village, Gurugram; Yogesh of Sector 23, Faridabad; Mohit of Rithoj village, Gurugram; Sandeep of Damdama village, Gurugram; Pramod of Bahalpa village; Birendra of Rithoj village, Gurugram; and Vinit of Rithoj village, Gurugram.

“During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused committed the offence in a planned manner on the instructions of the main accused Vipin, a property dealer based in Gurugram. The accused also assaulted the caretaker's pet dog and loaded both the stolen property and the dog onto a tractor before leaving. They illegally occupied the farmhouse. We are questioning the accused,” said the spokesperson of Gurugram police.

The police recovered the stolen property from the residence/office of the main accused Vipin located at Dev Nagar Part-2, Gurugram, he added.
