Blood donation most sacred act of humanity: BJP chief

“Blood donation is not just a ritual, but the most sacred way to awaken the spirit of service and strengthen the feeling of universal brotherhood,” said Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin on Saturday at the Dadi Prakashmani Auditorium of the Om Shanti Retreat Center (ORC) in Bhora Kalan near Manesar. He was speaking as the chief guest at the launch of the “Blood Donation Maha Abhiyan” organised by the social service division of the Brahma Kumaris Institute.

Chief guest Nitin Nabin said donating blood gives a person self-satisfaction. The new generation’s involvement in this campaign is a positive sign. Describing the youth as the future of the country, he urged them to join the pledge of de-addiction, along with donating blood.

Praising the efforts of the Brahma Kumaris, he said knowledge is the key to life’s right direction, and the organisation is serving as an inspirational pillar in achieving big goals by maintaining a calm mind in difficult situations.

Highlighting the global influence of Indian culture and yoga during the ceremony, BJP National President Nitin Nabin said that today, India’s ancient yoga system has transcended borders and established itself worldwide. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic initiative, he said that thanks to the prime Minister’s visionary efforts, India’s yoga has become established on international platforms and has become a global mass movement.

In her presidential address, ORC Director Asha Didi said that along with donating blood, instilling moral values in society is equally important. This transformation is possible only through Raja Yoga and spirituality. She said that the consistent practice of yoga brings positive changes not only to the soul, but also to human attitudes and every particle of blood.

During the programme, Rajyogini BK Asha, regional coordinator of the organisation’s Social Service Division in Delhi, gave the audience a sense of peace by having them practice Rajyoga. BK EV Girish, who came from Mumbai, presented a detailed outline of the campaign. While Rajyogi BK Avtar, who came from Mount Abu, gave the welcome address. Rajyogini Divya Prabha Didi, ‘Blood Man of Bihar’ Mukesh Hisaria, Dr Megha and Dr Pramod Kumar also expressed their best wishes at the programme.
