Mann, Kejriwal make surprise visit to Bhondsi jail in Gurugram to meet AAP MP Sanjeev Arora

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday made an unannounced visit to the Bhondsi jail in Gurugram to meet AAP Rajya Sabha MP and former Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora, who is in judicial custody in a case being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
According to sources, the two senior AAP leaders travelled directly from Delhi to Gurugram and, after obtaining permission from the jail administration, entered the high-security prison to meet Arora.
Party insiders said the visit was aimed at expressing solidarity with the MP amid ongoing legal proceedings. Arora was recently remanded to judicial custody by a court in connection with the ED case and has since been lodged at the Bhondsi jail.
Security was tightened around the jail during the visit, with local police and prison officials monitoring movement at the gates. The sudden arrival of the two prominent AAP leaders triggered a buzz in political circles in Gurugram and Punjab.
Neither the AAP leadership nor the jail authorities immediately issued an official statement on the duration or details of the meeting. However, party sources indicated that the leaders discussed Arora’s legal situation and conveyed the party’s support to him.
