Punjab shooter linked to Rahul Fazilpuria firing killed in encounter with Gurugram police

Deceased identified as Gurusher Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran

A shooter from gangster Deepak Nandal’s gang was killed and another injured in an encounter with the Gurugram Police on Monday. Both men had been arrested in Punjab on Friday in connection with the firing outside the house of singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s event organiser, Saurabh Yadav, in Kanhai village in Sector 45.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Gurusher Singh (23), while the injured accused was identified as Jaspal (28). Both were residents of Tarn Taran, Punjab. Police said the two allegedly opened fire outside Yadav’s house on the night of May 2. During the incident, his personal security officer, Haryana Police constable Kulbir, sustained a bullet injury.

A senior police officer said the encounter took place during an operation by the Gurugram Police involving suspects linked to the Kanhai firing case.
