Doctor to perform hand surgery on Badal on Friday, SAD chief to remain under medical supervision

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram late Friday evening for treatment following an attack in Nanded, Maharashtra.
Badal sustained a severe hand injury during the life-threatening attack involving a sharp-edged weapon.

According to a Medanta Hospital official, Badal has been admitted to Room No. 4401, and his treatment has begun under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Mahendru, a plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon.
Mahendru will perform plastic surgery on Badal’s hand, which is scheduled for Friday. Badal will remain under medical supervision.
