Truck driver burnt alive after collision on KMP Expressway while coming from Bilaspur

A truck driver was burnt alive in an accident on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway on Saturday morning after his truck collided with another truck parked on the road and caught fire.

According to the police, the incident took place around 5 am, when a truck was parked on the expressway roadside. Meanwhile, another truck coming from Bilaspur lost control and collided with the parked vehicle. At the time of the accident, the truck was being driven by Deepu, a resident of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh.

Following the collision, driver Deepu was trapped in the truck's cabin and could not escape due to the intense flames. He was burnt alive.

Fire brigade and police teams arrived at the scene as soon as the incident was reported. After significant effort, fire brigade personnel managed to control the fire in both trucks, but the driver had already died by then. The fire was so severe that the driver's body was completely burnt to a skeleton.

“We sent the body to the mortuary for postmortem and the family of the deceased has been informed. An FIR has been registered and they are investigating," said a senior police officer.
