The state government is in the process of recruiting 450 Medical Officers in the Health Department to address the shortage of doctors at government health institutions across the state. The responsibility of conducting the written examination for the recruitment has been entrusted to Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR).

Fulfilling this responsibility, the UHSR authorities have begun elaborate preparations to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination. “A total of 12,555 candidates are expected to appear for the written test, which will be conducted at 47 examination centres in Rohtak district. The written examination will be held on February 15 from 11.30 am to 1 pm,” said an UHSR official.

Dr Sukhbir Chandala, Controller of Examinations (CoE), UHSR, informed that although the exam would commence at 11:30 am, the candidates must report at their respective centres by 9 am. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre after 11 am.

“To ensure the peaceful and fair conduct of the examination, supervisors and flying squads have been constituted to monitor all centres. The Rohtak district administration has also been informed to extend necessary support,” he added.

The CoE further stated that photography and videography of each candidate would be conducted at the examination centres. Candidates must carry their admit card along with a government-issued photo identity proof, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the examination.

“Candidates have been strictly instructed not to wear rings, earrings, watches, electronic devices, or any kind of jewellery to the examination centre. Roll numbers have already been sent to candidates through their login IDs. Candidates can download their roll numbers using their login credentials. In case of any difficulty in downloading the admit card, candidates may contact the Examination Branch at UHSR, Rohtak, on February 14 between 10am and 4 pm to obtain a duplicate copy,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dr HK Aggarwal, Vice-Chancellor of UHSR, said the recruitment of 450 medical officers would significantly strengthen healthcare services across the state by filling critical vacancies in government hospitals and health centres.
