15,000 quintal khair wood seized

The police have seized 15,000 quintal khair wood from a truck on the Delhi-Jaipur highway under the jurisdiction of Dhaaruhera police station. The truck driver, Shahid Khan of Palwal, and the conductor, Mausim of Kharkhari (Alwar), have been arrested. “The Dhaaruhera police got a tip-off that khair wood was being smuggled through the Delhi-Jaipur highway in a truck. A police team started checking vehicles on the highway and succeeded in seizing the costly wood from a truck,” said a police spokesman, adding that the market value of the wood was in lakhs.
