18 held in Palwal for disturbance bid

PALWAL: Eighteen persons were arrested in Palwal district on Monday on charges of attempting to create disturbance or apprehension of indulging in acts leading to law and order problems in the polling process. Hisar: An official on poll duty in the Barwala Assembly segment on Monday clicked photographs of a badly damaged road in Kheri Berki and Jewra in the Barwala segment in Hisar district. Head Constable dies during poll duty

Panipat: A 44-year-old head constable died during election duty in Panipat on Sunday night. Head Constable Vinod Kumar of Gumar village in Sonepat district was on patrolling duty when he suffered a heart attack. He was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His last rites were performed with state honours at his native village on Monday. TNS
