Two brothers were killed as a tractor hit their scooter near the district jail on Sunday. While one of them died on the spot, the other died in hospital late last night.

The bereaved family members created a ruckus at the KCGMCH on Monday alleging medical negligence on the part of doctors. They demanded action against the doctors and other staff. Meanwhile, the KCGMCH authorities have constituted a team of four doctors to investigate the matter.

The deceased have been identified as Dilawar (24) and his younger brother Dimple (21), both residents of Chiro village. Their father is an ASI with the Haryana Police posted at Kalayat police station in Kaithal district.

According to information, the brothers were going to their village on a scooter on Sunday night. When they reached near the district jail, a tractor hit their scooter. Dimple died on the spot, while Dilawar died in the KCGMCH.

The bereaved family members alleged that the staff members and the doctors not only misled them but also did not give proper attention to Dilawar. His life could have been saved, but the doctors and other staff members did not give him proper care, said an aggrieved family member.

Baljeet Singh, SHO Sadar, said that they had registered a case against the tractor driver. “We have taken the tractor into custody and the driver will be arrested soon,” he added.

The SHO said that if any negligence on the part of doctors and staff members of the KCGMCH was found, action would also be initiated against them.
