All victims hailed from Khera Khemawati of Safidon. Rajesh Khoth, District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO), said the villagers were engaged in earthworks under the MNREGS. He said prima facie it appeared that safety precautions were not adopted and an investigation would be initiated.
