Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, organised a campus placement drive at the APJ Abdul Kalam Building, the university authorities said on Friday.
A total of 406 students from 30 university departments and affiliated colleges had registered for the drive through Google forms. After interviews, the company selected 20 students. Appointment letters will be issued within a week.
The drive was conducted by the university’s Training and Placement Cell under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof Vijay Kumar. A private company, Travelocate, from Mohali, took part in the recruitment process. The company was represented by Director Dev Suthar, HR Manager Megha, Manager Ravinder and Consultant Shivani.
The selection process was held in two stages. In the first stage, students were screened based on their communication skills and career goals. In the second stage, selected candidates were assessed for their technical skills and work performance by the company director.
Training and Placement Cell Director Prof Shailendra Singh said the cell is committed to creating new employment opportunities for students under the leadership of the vice-chancellor.
